  6. Reports of committees
    1. Harvest Festival - April Bates reported that the parade went very well. She received a positive response from the families that participated and passed around a photo of the parade float and participants.
    2. Volunteer Night - April Bates reported that the first volunteer night will be held on Friday October 2 from 7-9pm. Parents will be able to help teachers with projects for their classrooms. This will be held in the Art Room and will be an adults - only event. She reminded the membership that babysitting for a family that is helping at volunteer night counts as volunteer hours. This is an excellent way for families to take turns with babysitting and volunteering at the school.
    3. Ice Skating Family Day - Dana Frerich reported that our Lincoln Academy Ice Skating Day will be at the Apex Center on Sunday September 27th from 12:45pm-2:45pm. Tickets will be $2.50 per person and will include skate rental. Tickets will be on sale at pick-up on September 23-25 at pick-up and at the door.

There was much discussion regarding the crowd size being a problem for both the dinner and the talent show. It was suggested that the committee begin looking for a larger off site location to hold this event next year. There may be a smaller crowd this year due to the event being scheduled just before the Thanksgiving Break.
    6. Food for Conferences - Michelle Richey reported that committee chairs Lori Luyk and Kim Fitzpatrick will be holding a meeting on Wednesday September 23rd on the playground after school. They are looking for committee members to join them in planning for the meals for teachers during conferences.

There would be a receptacle in the lunch room and the school will receive 2 cents per Capri Sun pouch and 1 cent per other brand juice pouch.
